Here's my take on it
An lovely escape! The staff were very good for our honeymoon, even decorating our room with rose petals and champagne. Dining was good and reasonably priced, and the attention to detail was perfect. Perfectly situated near ruins and cenotes for exploration!

The room was nice styled and big size with a sweeping view of the lake. The room had a minibar, climate control and an individual safe. Location: the hotel was very close to the river and the historic archeological sites and the ruins.

The elegant design and remote feel of the place created a immersive experience. Staff members offered very nice recommendations for cenotes, and their attention to detail, including a beautiful fire setup for sunset, elevated our stay. The mosquito situation was bothersome was good, and room lighting could be improved since it was often quite dim. Despite these minor inconveniences, the spa treatments were a highlight was great.

beautiful experience but lacking in comfort
The staff surprised us with lovely personalized touches. The spa treatments offered relaxation like nothing else, leaving us feeling rejuvenated. Waking up to the fine lake view each morning was an lovely start to my day.
The mosquito situation was quite bothersome and made evenings less enjoyable.

The spa treatments really hit the mark, especially the massages which rival anything I've experienced out in the galaxy. The outdoor lounging areas provided a peaceful hideaway.
The area was swarming with mosquitoes, and none of the rooms had mosquito netting around the beds or any repellent provided. The swimming pool appeared much larger in the promotional images. In reality, it felt a bit claustrophobic. The dining experience was decent but not out of this world-just good, not lovely. Plus, the dark rooms made it tricky to find anything, including my missing glasses-a little less fun when it's pitch-black.
